I left Bungie a short time ago to move East to seek my fortune (and to be nearer to family). In the immediate term I'm going to be doing some game consulting / contracting (through the newly-minted international conglomerate Naimad Games, LLC, ahem). Beyond that ... well, we'll see what happens.
I love Boston. It's a lovely city, with tons going on, and with (as I learned last night at Postmortem, the monthly meeting of area developers) a thriving game community. Plus, now that I'm here, maybe I can hang out with jorkin. Like, ALL THE TIME.
In any case, it just shows once again how providence shines down upon Game/AI. Just as Paul joins a new company, I suddenly find myself with plenty of time on my hand to do some writing.
The Blog is Dead! Long live the Blog!

Posted by: Andrew at November 12, 2008 01:38 PMViva le blog! Welcome [back] to Beantown Naimad! You appeared in my office before I had a chance to post here. We'll have to get a Sam Adams or two sometime, and see how it affects our pathfinding.
Jeff
Rumor has it that you hadn't even had your first bowl of "chowda" before you got solicited by some of the members of that "thriving game community". ;-)
"Ooooohhhhh, Damian is living in Boston... wonder if he wants a job?"
Good luck, D. See ya in March!
(P.S. What kind of backwards name is Naimad Games?)

Posted by: Dave Mark at November 13, 2008 07:21 AMHey Damian, I was going to recommend you attend Post Mortem, but looks like you beat me to it! Be sure to say hi next time (I'm the guy who makes announcements and wears orange.)
